After spending a month talking about something a little more fluid (culture), we're switching gears and looking at something a little more practical, but not unrelated, for April. Because people are the very heart of a community, we need to know and tap into what motivates them in order to encourage engagement. As one of those strategies, rewards and recognition programs (like incentives, gamification, and super user programs) are all popular tools through which to motivate, reward, recognize, and collaborate with members.
Because there's much more to talk about than just that paragraph, we've decided to focus on Rewards & Recognition during the month of April in TheCR Network:
For the month of April, we'll be hearing from community professionals who have worked with a variety of rewards and recognition programs as well as explored what these programs meant and did for their communities and larger organizations. Through different gamification & incentive, rewards, and super user programs, we'll explore what each person accomplished and how they were able to tap into their members' motivations and goals in order to make their communities a more engaging and welcoming place.
Under the theme of rewards and recognition programs, we'll be holding the following Roundtable Calls:
We'll also be hosting our usual user group calls and other networking and learning opportunities to allow for space for members to engage and connect around shared topics of interest:
This month, we're also opening up space for skill-building and learning with the continuation of the external and internal community fundamentals training as well as the second iteration of the Public Speaking Lab on April 29th. We'll also be hosting our first Community Score Review Hour, so if you've completed the Community Score and would like some insight into your score, we invite you to join us!
