June 2020 in TheCR Network: Building Blocks of Community

As we prepare to reach the halfway mark for 2020, we thought it would be a great idea to go back to our roots for our theme this month. After talking about members, culture, gamification, and tools, it's only right that we bring them all together and think about what every aspect of community is built upon.

Because we need to shore up our foundation before building anything, we've decided to focus on the Building Blocks of Community for the month of June in TheCR Network:

Similar to what we focused on in January, we want to use the month of June to look at not just the foundational elements of community, but also what needs to be strong in order to develop and support a growing community.

With the launch of the State of Community Management 2020 report on June 2, we're excited to start the month off with a bang and learn about how communities are changing the way the world works. Through looking at the value that external and internal (and both external and internal) communities are creating, we're ready to learn about what our peers are doing and how we can all successfully level up our community programs.

To continue that conversation throughout the month, we're holding calls and discussions to hear more about how our peers are launching successful community programs as well as learn about what we should all be prioritizing in order to build out our own.

Under the theme of "Building Blocks of Community", we'll be holding the following Roundtable Calls:

We'll also be hosting our usual user group calls and other networking and learning opportunities to allow for space for members to engage and connect around shared topics of interest:

This month, we're also opening up space for skill-building and learning as we host our fourth meeting of the Public Speaking Lab (June call TBA). To hold space for collaboration and peer learning, we're also offering the opportunity to pick a member's brain with our Ask Me Anything with Dianne Kibbey (June 15 - 19).

To keep the conversation going between calls, we're also looking forward to launching discussions, poll questions, and opening up virtual space to explore how others have implemented these kinds of programs in their own communities.

If you can't wait and you want to dive right in, we encourage you to RSVP to a call linked above, open up your own discussion in the Roundtable group around a question, challenge, or idea you have, and/or leave a comment below if there's a topic that you think we're missing. We're actively planning for the months ahead, so we're happy to bring you and your ideas aboard at any time!

To June!
